As Lecturer/Programme Director in the Quantity Surveying Division at the University of Technology (UTECH), Sherona Simpson is constantly learning about new developments in quantity surveying, which allows her to provide a fresh perspective to the CDSL associates team.
In the seven years that she has led the Quantity Surveying Division at UTECH, Sherona has successfully managed all aspects of the division’s operations to ensure smooth, satisfactory service delivery and optimum student performance.
Sherona previously worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at her alma mater, Colorado State University, and Cost Coordinator at Neustone Limited, as well as Intern/Junior Quantity Surveyor at Davidson and Hanna Chartered Quantity Surveyors.
Sherona has published articles on career-specific topics such as “Review of Sustainability Rating Systems for Infrastructure Project,” for the Association School of Construction and “Challenges in Developing a Transportation Sustainability Rating System that Meets the Preferences of a Department of Transportation,” which appeared in the Journal of Transportation Engineering.
