Louise Maitland melds a multi-tiered mix of interests to efficiently discharge her duties as CDSL’s Company Secretary and Project Manager. Louise has garnered accolades throughout her career and is committed to continuous learning for personal and professional development. Exuding charm that belies an analytical and intuitive approach to problem-solving, Louise meets clients’ needs by juxtaposing a soothing, yet firm, interpersonal style.
Like Paul and Phyllando, Louise previously worked at the Urban Development Corporation (UDC). Her affiliation began as a Regional Program Administrator to the UDC-administered Lift up Jamaica Programme II. Subsequently, she was hired directly by the UDC and rose to the level of Senior Project Manager. In her 6-year stint, she amassed an impressive portfolio of projects as she contributed to the company’s growth and development.
Prior to working at the UDC, Louise was employed at the Social Development Commission (SDC) for four years, where she moved rapidly up the ranks from Project Supervisor to Corporate Planner, Regional Director, Director of Planning Division and ultimately, Director of Corporate Services. She has also worked at NCB Trust & Merchant Bank (defunct), Jamaica Management Services, the University of the West Indies (UWI) and had a summer stint in Dublin, Ireland, providing secretarial services.
